Welcome to My-Safety!
Here we focus on empowering the men and women of today. We envision a future where every woman, regardless of her background or circumstances, feels safe, confident, and empowered in her daily life. In this future, women will not only possess the knowledge and
skills to identify potential threats to their personal safety but also radiate a sense of empowerment and resilience. We see a world where women are
no longer silent victims of harassment and violence.
Instead, they stand up against injustice, report incidents without fear of retribution, and are supported by a community that actively listens and takes action.
My-Safety also deals with educating men about how certain actions and behaviours
undertaken by them lead to mental and emotional abuse for women. We find it necessary
and important to educate men so that women remain unharmed and that men themselves are saved from punishment by the law as a result of these crimes.
Men need to first and foremost understand gender dynamics. We aim to encourage men to be allies
in women’s safety, supporting women in public spaces, challenging disrespectful
behaviour, and advocating for change within their communities.
We have developed this course as an online Learning Management System where through a
host of videos we talk about the several crimes that are perpetrated against women on a daily
basis.
This course has a two-way communication system- where we provide knowledge to
educate you on what is happening around you, and in turn, through interactive questions, we
gather feedback, insights, and experiences that you may have to share with us.
